Service Description
Most dogs do not need their anal glands expressed on a routine schedule - they should do it naturally when they have a normal bowel movement. Here are some signs your dog's glands aren't emptying properly and may need some help from a professional: - scooting their rear across the floor, - excessive licking or chewing around the anus, - a strong fishy odor, - swelling or a small lump beside the anus, - discomfort when sitting or defecating, - soft stools or chronic diarrhea that prevent the glands from emptying naturally. Our Certified Groomers are happy to check your dog's glands and will only express them if they need to be done!
